"The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." – Phil Jackson

Invitations Welcome Corbin! Welcome to the Achievers Corbin! Mrs. Cummings and the entire Classroom Community welcomes you!

Health Update Most absences this week at HA were in the “Littles” Classroom. Yet, we have a few older students out today with different symptoms or just allowing time to be cautious. One student diagnosis reported as Influenza A. Lots of cleaning is taking place, and students are spending larger amounts of time outside for learning. Trimester 1 Report Cards Trimester 1 Report Cards are being finalized and will be sent home Tuesday November 22nd. HA Parent & Board Virtual Meeting Thank You HA Families for attending the parent meeting on Thursday evening. Mindy spoke about the vision for Hampstead Academy and our plans for the future. If you were unable to attend and would like to view the recorded Zoom meeting please CLICK HERE with the passcode xj8MNck@ 360° Immersion Classroom We are looking into providing a 360° Immersion Classroom in the future where students and staff will be able to “experience” a topic from within… ex: rainforest, under the ocean, etc. We have researched and found many options and are now looking to the HA community for any insight or contacts you may have in the tech world with expertise or recommendations in the area. Grants have been requested to help fund this project and once a decision is made we will plan fundraising efforts for the 360° Immersion Room. Please reach out to Mindy directly labo@hampsteadacademy.org

HA Holiday Gift Card Raffle Last Week to get your Gift Cards In! Gift Cards should be donated before November 22nd. Look through those gift cards at home you may not have used, or perhaps pick up a few cards to add to this great fundraiser. Students will then be selling raffle tickets at $10 a piece to friends and family. Each day in December an HA student will draw at random one winning raffle ticket! The winner will be announced via Class DoJo, social media and our HA Newsletter. All entry tickets should be filled out with buyer information on the back and returned with funds raised in the envelope titled “HA Calendar Raffle”.

November Food Drive You may still donate Non Perishable items through November 30th! Our Pre-Kindergarten friends sharing an impromptu pretend play moment. Dress up encourages creative thinking and communication skills. It also helps kids practice language development and their social skill by requiring teamwork, cooperation, and sharing.

Our classroom communities (Steamers, Dreamers, and Achievers) look bright! Holding class outside for lessons in fractions this week ignited engaged students!

Mrs. Cummings and the Achievers continued learning about our government, the voting process, and that every vote counts when electing officials and creating classroom policy!

Our Dreamers met the challenge! The Challenge: To build the tallest possible tower using only pencils and index cards strong enough to hold a small figurine! Working in a small group is a fantastic way for young children to learn how to cooperate and collaborate with others and to practice the social and academic skills that foster school success.

Hampstead Academy now offers tuition assistance for qualifying families! Spread the word and visit www.hampsteadacademy.org/tuition for more details!
