Highlights of Week Stay updated on what’s happening in your Class DoJo and follow Hampstead Academy Events & News

Thank You Jack and the Tobia Family for these beautiful flowers from your garden! You really brightened our classroom and our spirits!

Thank You HA Community for participating in the Fall Fun Run! Some of the funds raised have already gone to new STEM supplies for Ms. Cummings’ classroom with more on the way!

Thank you Ms. Stone and Keri Lynn Barneson for donating your time and energy into making our Pre-K rooms so brilliant!

It’s all about pumpkins this week! Our friends painted a pumpkin patch!

Success! Students built a working basketball hoop! Lots of trial and error before finding the perfect distance and trajectory for the swish!

Balance of Force: Can you keep something halfway up a ramp? Lots of critical thinning, trial and error lead to the answer yes in many different ways! It just takes a balance in force.

Students in Ms. Matos’ class started a chain reaction! There was a lot of critical thinking and problem solving to create the right energy and end goal.

This week in ELA, we learned about character traits, those words that describe a character’s behavior and attitude to make up their personality.

Having fun learning place value in math!

Students predicted the circumference of each pumpkin and its weight. Before carving they were asked if they thought there was a relationship between the size of the pumpkin and the amount of seeds. Conclusion: the bigger the pumpkin the more seeds.
